A vital extension to the Ashford hospital of a modern, 24 bed modular intensive care unit. Acting as QS for the East Kent Hospitals Trust, Modus will ensure the highest quality of build, providing a safe and comfortable environment for all patients.
The project is utilising pre-fabricated off-site modular construction to achieve a shorter contract period and mitigate some of the risk/issues with working at an active hospital.
Modular building allows for a significant portion of the construction phase to take place off-site and simultaneously to the groundworks being undertaken on-site. This results in a more efficient construction programme and greatly reducing the amount of deliveries/disturbance on-site.
