Modus are providing Quantity Surveying services to Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust for the extension and replanning of the design and installation of a CDC at Hermitage Court in Maidstone, Kent.
Following the Covid pandemic, temporary diagnostics units were positioned on a nearby site to the hospital (Hermitage Court). These temporary units provide mobile outpatient imaging services, which releases traffic from the main site.
The Trust will develop this into a more permanent solution, with two projects. The first being the fit out of an existing unit for outpatient x-ray services, the second being the construction of a modular Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) to provide CT and MRI scanning and supporting consultation spaces. The modular unit will release the need for the mobile scanning units.
Modus are working closely with the client and contractor to ensure the works can be completed within the Trust’s budget, whilst ensuring the scheme adequately serves the needs of the hospital and its patients.
