Stroke Unit, Maidstone Hospital

This project consisted of the extensive refurbishment and alterations to the existing Stroke Unit at Maidstone Hospital to provide an extended bed facility and upgraded support spaces.

The works were split into two phases. The first phase of works included the construction of new rooms and the refurbishment and upgrade of existing facilities. These form part of the Stroke Unit for the main hospital, and include an enlarged acute assessment bay and associated support spaces, as well as inpatient and day patient ward areas, assessment areas, clinic / consultant rooms and support spaces.

Phase 2 involved the configuration and refurbishment of existing areas alongside the construction of a communications facility within the unit.

All works were carried out in a live hospital environment.
